The first exposition honouring the contribution of Latin American artists to London Art is taking place in The Arts Gallery, located at 65 Davies St. - London W1K 5DA.

Sixteen artists are exhibiting their work, twelve of them Peruvians who had the chance to study the postgraduate course at the London Byam Shaw School of Art -now part of the University of the Arts (www.arts.ac.uk) through the scholarship program.

The inauguration took place on July 19 th , and was attended by a significant number of high profile personalities of the London art scene.   All of them agreed on the high quality of the work and its innovative approach.   Crowd favourites were the works of Chilean artist María José Rojas and those of Peruvians Gabriel Tejada, Marisol Malatesta, Ursula Iturrizaga, and Gabriela Talavera.

Cured by Stephen Williams -course director of the Postgraduate Diploma at the University of Arts London-, the exposition will be open until August 31 st . Entrance is free.
